    Absolutely. Your security and peace of mind is of paramount importance to us.

    All order + credit card security functions ~ including multiple layers of firewalls + encryption technology ~ are monitored 24/7. Every measure is working at full strength in order to protect your personal data throughout the checkout process.

  • Does Firecracker charge sales tax?

    Only on shipments to California. Since we are based there, we are required by law to do so.

  • When will my order be sent?

    Most items in stock are typically processed and shipped within 1-2 business days. Other items ~ such as those handcrafted to order or fabricated per kiln schedule (i.e. Bauer Pottery) ~ sometimes take a little longer. 

    Just click on the "Details/Shipping" tab found on each product page for specific information about an item's lead time. (Note: Lead time does not include order processing, which may take up to 24-48 hours depending on when your order was placed.)

Shipping & Delivery ( Index)

  • Do you offer free shipping?

    For a variety of items, including all jewelry orders within the United States, you bet. 

    And while we would love to offer free shipping for every item site-wide ~ hey, we're shoppers too, we get it ~ the fact is our small business simply cannot support it at this time. We will definitely offer more discounted/free shipping as soon as it becomes feasible.

    In the meantime, we always strive to offer you the most economical shipping rates possible, and are continually on the lookout for ways to improve in that regard.

  • How will my order be shipped?

    All Firecracker orders ship via either USPS, UPS, or FedEx. Please be aware that multiple item orders may be fulfilled from several locations; i.e., your items may arrive separately.

    Depending on the method available to you at the time of purchase (and shipping destination), one or both of the following delivery choices will apply:

    Ground
    2-4 business days.
    2nd Day Air
    1-2 business days.
  • Can I track the status of my delivery?

    Yes. Once your order has shipped, we will send you an email update with carrier details and a tracking number. Just click on the link in the email to check the estimated arrival date.

  • Does Firecracker ship to other countries?

  • What is your return/exchange policy?

    We firmly stand behind the quality of all our goods. Something wrong? We'll make it right.

    Most purchases can be returned/exchanges within 15 days of delivery ~ depending on the manufacturer and item in question. (Given the wide variety of artisans/small independents we work with, that's our policies sometimes vary from product to product.)

    Just click on the "Details/Shipping" tab found on each product page to get specific return info about a particular item. That way, you'll always know what's what before heading to checkout.

    NOTE: Sorry, but the following items are ineligible for exchange, return, or refund:

      • Apothecary
      • Fragrance
      • Stationary
      • Items marked "Final Sale"
      • Specified "Made to Order" and/or "Personalized" items
      • Shipping Charges
  • How do I initiate an exchange or return?

  • After I return an order, when will I receive my refund?

    Once your return package arrives at the Firecracker warehouse and is inspected, we will send you an email advising you on the status of your refund. (Please note: refunds may take up to thirty days to appear on your credit card statement, depending on your billing cycle.)

    Firecracker is a tribute to great design and artisanal craftsmanship. We celebrate time-honored techniques and an era when quality, durability, and passionate attention to detail were considered the rule ~ not the exception.

    Our approach, however, transcends waxing philosophical about the past.

    Genuine craft is still very much alive, well, and thriving all over the United States… and that is the fundamental story that drives us to explore the country + share our discoveries with you.

  • What do you look for in the products you choose?

    Inspiration, form, & function. An ability to elevate everyday objects into meaningful keepsakes.

    From small, independent artisans to larger, more established teams, we seek out thoughtfully conceived, beautifully made items infused with the spirit of classic craftsmanship… yet bursting with creative energy from the here and now.

    Or, as the banner in our office says: "Vintage soul. Modern brain."

  • How about your artisan partners? What do you look for most?

    A diverse group of people who love their craft, care about their community, and manufacture goods with integrity in safe, eco-conscious, humane working environments. Which means:

    No sweatshops.
    We want to make sure that workers who make the items we offer you are paid a decent wage + treated with dignity and respect.
    Clean air + water.
    We want to be certain that precautions are taken during the manufacturing process to protect the environment.
    Mainly machine-made v. Mainly hand-made.
    We prefer the latter. Which is why a vast majority of our goods are picked, mixed, cut, carved, glazed, sewn, stuffed, soldered, sanded, etc., by actual humans & their hands.
